Hart County has multiple options for education. The Hart County Charter System's  four-year graduation rate is 94.9%, which is higher than 88% of districts and their overall performance is higher than 63% of districts. If you're looking for private school options, we have that too! With just a short drive you'll find yourself on the campus of one of our local colleges such as Athens Tech, Emmanuel College, North Georgia Technical College or even universities such as the University of Georgia and Clemson University

PLACES TO PLAY

Hart County Rec Dept.

Parks, Playgrounds, & Sports Programs

Mr. Rogers may have said it best when he said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." Hart County is home to many playgrounds and sports programs. Our local Recreation Dept. and Bell Family YMCA offer great sports programs for children. You'll find playgrounds at almost all of the lake's recreation areas as well as the Hart County Botanical Garden and Recreation Department's main office.
